Primary Purpose:
I am a volunteer with the band program at my daughter’s university, (she is a Freshman bandmember). I am heading up the efforts to begin receiving much needed resources and program support by obtaining grants.

Programs requiring support include:
1. Anti-bullying/Hazing
2."Loaner" Instruments for low-income students arriving without personal instruments.
3. College-bridge program to allow incoming freshman access to 2-3 courses over the summer before the Fall academic year begins. This will help students reduce their class load (and increase success in the classes that are most difficult or to focus on the courses that are most helpful to students preparing them for their freshman year - college algebra, English composition and university life.
4. Scholarship program support, which will help increase enrollment and completion of undergraduate degrees among demographics that are under-represented (minorities, African-American males).
Programming and Dollar Needs:
$150,000 - loan Instruments
$50,000 - anti-hazing/bullying
$150,000 - College Bridge (pilot programming)
$100,000 - scholarships
Project Description:
Provide your hourly rate for research and locating grants for: 25 hours per month for 24 months.   For a total of 600 hours.
Flexible. Prefer someone who is experienced and understands the politics of writing and receiving grants for university’s and colleges. In addition, very interested in doing research based grant application.
Provide your hourly rate for writing curriculum for: 20 hours per week for 4 weeks.   For a total of 80 hours.
To create the pilot "College Bridge" program.
Provide your hourly rate to set up and manage my UHelp page: 2 hours per week for 36 weeks.   For a total of 72 hours.
The band does not currently have one. We need to discuss this.

We have previously applied for a grant(s).
The other university departments regularly apply for grant funding through its foundation department. However, the band program has not applied or received any grant funding on its own, thus my volunteering to lead the effort.
