They articulate program objects in terms that are meaningful for the life circumstances of the participants. They have also been able to enter the lives of the girls and their families in a manner often denied professional staff. We have had access to a wide range of information which has been helpful to staff in helping women make decision about their families. They have also been helpful in demonstrating life-management skills, particularly in the areas of parenting.
