Grant Writer Request #01122022B

Primary Purpose:
I am seeking a Grant Writer because as the Head Coach I just dont have enough time in the day. Also, I want this to be an on-going process/relationship. At the moment the Public School System only provides $900 of fiscal support...for 2 teams (Varsity and Junior Varsity) and 25+ girls.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
Out of all player registrations we only receive $900. It barely covers game balls, scorebooks and line-up cards. Our infield is full of rock and needs dirt and regrading; way more then the $900 we get annually.

The benefits of sports and physical activity in a Student Athlete's life are well documented. As Coaches, we exist to to bring out all of the amazing qualities of our female student athletes. Unfortunately the world of High School Athletics is often split into two groups...schools that "have" and schools that "have not". As a small high school, located in a rural area with less then 500 total students, we sit in the "have not" group. Field maintenance, premium softball field dirt, replacing old and outdated equipment, Title IX compliance, indoor facility rental fees and others requires requires an operating budget of about $15K/year, but we only get $900/year to fund an entire program, which is just impossible.
I am looking for a grant writer that can be successful with writing these grant requests, communicating the BHS Student Athlete needs and wants by improving what we can offer girls wanting to play Softball as a Student Athlete.

We know that kids who play do better. By supplying youth organizations with the gear they need, overhead costs are cut and more resources become available, helping children stay connected to their communities.
