Primary Purpose:

We are seeking a grant writer for our well established 501(c)(3) organization which offers support to veterans. We help prevent homelessness within the veteran community by providing therapeutic, hands-on, in-person programs for individuals suffering from PTSD, TBI, and depression.

Programming and Dollar Needs:

We are currently providing therapeutic, hands-on, in-person programs for Veterans suffering from PTSD, TBI and depression.

Project Description:

Provide your hourly rate for research and locating grants for: 10 hours per week for 10 weeks. For a total of 100 hours.

Provide your hourly rate for writing curriculum for: 10 hours per week for 10 weeks. For a total of 100 hours.

Provide your hourly rate for crowdfunding mentoring for: 10 hours per week for 10 weeks. For a total of 100 hours.

We just purchased a new 20,000-square-foot building. As with any new building, it needs some work, we have a leaky roof, broken pipes, and rotting wood. We also have plans on a renovation project to completely update the building to meet our specifications.

The Grant Writer should be ready to begin work on: January 18, 2023

We sell merchandise and fundraise at local events. We also recently got our Indiana state gaming license and are doing a bike raffle right now.

We have received grants from donors before, but have struggled with applying for larger grants.

We have previously received $4,000 in grant funds.

Some small foundations have made charitable donations, but we have struggled with applying, writing, and receiving grants.

We do not have an agency mission statement: We offer many programs to veterans. We also have Lima Charlie, a veteran's peer support group. The On Your Feet Program helps veterans struggling facing homelessness or other hard times. The FAT program (Fitness and Tranquility) helps veterans live healthy, calm lives.
