Grant Writer Request #02072020F.1

Primary Purpose:
I need professional support to apply for some grants.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
We are a mental health nonprofit organization based on SF Bay Area. We value the humanistic approach and promote Diversity and Self Compassion by providing workshops/seminars/groups in the community as well as direct service to individual clients. Our clinicians are a multicultural team and we have been supporting diverse clients and communities. We have been working with minorities, immigrants, and low social-economic status community in SF. We are planning to offer psychoeducation seminars in July to mental health professional but we are also seeking more opportunities to provide psychoeducation and mental health support to public communities.

We have been developing the diversity psychoeducation program which is different from the traditional diversity education. We focus on increasing awareness to reduce blind spots and enhance mutual understanding. The traditional diversity education tends to develop the structure perpetrator and victim, but we promote compassion for both parties and remind them of shared human quality. The process is more nurturing instead of judging or criticizing. We would like to provide the new approach to understand diversity and we believe it will help our clients and communities to engage more with each other.
