Grant Writer Request #05052021B.1

Primary Purpose:
Our primary purpose in seeking a grant writer is to raise funds to keep our animal chaplaincy and pet grief counseling fees low or non-existent. We also need help to meet the costs of operation such as paying for our designer, our counseling services, social media help, etc.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
We work with people who have lost their pet, their beloved animal companion to death, and need help in their grief and pain. The animal-human/pet bond is deeper than most people realize, and while we work with people all over the country and abroad, and have been recognized by People Magazine, the NYT, London Podcast, ABC/CBS-TV, we never have any money.
We are looking for about $25-50,000.

We have an agency mission statement: Our mission is twofold: first, to provide individual help with the pain, grief, and the healing, that comes with the death of a pet, your animal companion. It doesn't matter when it was or how it was, your heart is still broken. This is especially so with our senior citizens. The second part of our mission is to serve the community. Our organization offers grief management workshops, small group discussions, a monthly pet-loss support group and informal talks.
