I am seeking grants to help fund my all-women trucking company.

I have been a truck driver for the last fifteen years. I created this company to empower and support women drivers. I would like to position my company to give women an opportunity to enter the trucking industry. The American Trucking Association estimates that in 2021 the truck driver shortage will hit a historic high of just over 80,000 drivers “This figure is the difference between the number of drivers currently in the market and the optimal number of drivers based on freight demand.” (“Driver Shortage Update 2021”) The opportunities are endless due to the shortage of drivers.
I want to employ several military women truck drivers and, experienced women truck drivers. I believe that Veterans will add value to my company. They are dedicated and hardworking, with exceptional work ethics. My goal is to give these women the opportunity to earn a good living. My company’s goal is to be fully operational, obtain four box trucks, one large double car flatbed truck, and give the opportunity to as many workers as possible to start.
I have laid out a business plan which includes TBS Trucking which has guaranteed 20 days (about 3 weeks) of work monthly. I have also familiarized myself with the Trucking Apps such as DAT to ensure that I have work for the staff that I plan on employing. I have also been able to maintain a relationship with several car dealerships in the area to transport cars.
To obtain my goal. I understand that I need reliable and dependable trucks. I have also incorporated a budget for gas, tolls, payroll, and maintenance of the trucks. To get started, I am in need of funding.
