Primary Purpose:
Our primary purpose in seeking a grant writer is to research and write grants for organizational and programmatic support for our housing counseling/community development nonprofit.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
Our organization is a private, non-profit housing corporation with the belief that a partnership between residents, financial institutions, businesses, and civic leadership can stop the decline, promote reinvestment, and restore pride and confidence in Louisiana neighborhoods.
We are looking for an annual programmatic and organizational support of $400,000.
Project Description:
Provide your hourly rate for research and locating grants for: 32 hours per month for 6 months.   For a total of 192 hours.
This is an estimate, I'd like to discuss our grant writing needs with the professional to mutually determine what best suits our organization.

We offer HUD-certified housing counseling (pre- and post- purchase homeownership aka homebuyer education; financial education/literacy; complex suite of housing and homebuying related training, coaching/counseling and training). New home construction and owner-occupied or owner-Investment construction management services as well as loan services (homeownership related).
We also offer community development services including: neighborhood association program support; advocacy, neighborhood project support; neighborhood engagement activities.

We have previously received $500,000 in grant funds.
We have a copy of our previously written grant application(s).  These can be sent to the grant writer upon request or shared via Dropbox or similar.
I only put an annual amount in the approximate amount received as over the past 45 years, our organization has received millions in grant revenue.
Our grant history generally includes support from housing-related national organizations, local banking institutions, city and state entities, and some private family foundations. In the recent five years, private individual support has increased.
We do not have a fundraising packet.
We have an agency mission statement: Mission: "To create and sustain healthy and vibrant neighborhoods through real estate development, education, and community building activities that improve the quality of life for all residents." Additional Beliefs: Our work is informed and shaped by the belief that shelter is a basic human need, decent and adequate housing is the key to the quality of life for individuals and families, and all people should have the opportunity to access quality affordable housing. We believe that neighborhood revitalization is best done in a manner that benefits all people, both new and long-time residents, regardless of socio-economic status, race and ethnicity, and other elements of community diversity. We believe that real, sustained neighborhood revitalization is most effectively achieved when the long-term good of the neighborhood is the shared responsibility and joint endeavor of residents, businesses, local government, and other stakeholders.
