Grant Writer Request #06092022G

Primary Purpose:
We are ready to grow our non-for-profit and currently struggle to find the time in our busy day to day to search for and fill out grants.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
I run a non-for-profit community venue. We run an apprentice program that educates all ages and encourages creativity on the stage. We run a community garden, allow low cost performance and rehearsal space for 16 different local arts companies. We do on demand workshops and facility use for girl scouts, boy scouts, underprivileged youth and adults. Currently our staff is being paid under market value and we would like to fix that as well as expand our budgets so we can help more people.
Project Description:
Provide your hourly rate for research and locating grants for: 5 hours per week for 4 weeks.   For a total of 20 hours.
The Grant Writer should be ready to begin work on: July 10, 2022
Organizational Status:
Our organization is a(n): 501c3
Our company is in existence for: 5 Year(s) 3 Months
We presently provide or will be providing services in the geographic areas of: Indiana
Currently we provide a comfortable, quirky venue to a bunch of companies who either cannot afford another space or have lost their space and are raising money to pay for a new one. We also have an educational theatre company for all ages that does 2-3 shows a year. We would like to expand that to more, but we would need to increase our budget for that.
Current Revenue:
Currently we apply to the Carmel Arts Grant and charge a very low rental price to our tenets, as well as sell concessions.
Grant History:
We have previously applied for a grant(s).
We apply to our local city fund, but that serves alot of people and we want to do more.
We have previously received $90,000 in grant funds.
We have a copy of our previously written grant application(s).
We receive anywhere from $80,000- $90,000 a year from the city, which for the most part is what keeps us functioning and pays our employees. We are looking to grow as the business does so we can serve more people.
We do not have a fundraising packet.
We have an agency mission statement: Our vision is to be the "Off-Off-Broadway" of Indiana, giving the artists a local, welcoming, and affordable place to play; and giving audiences an affordable place to be entertained. We offer residency for theatre companies without a home and is available for artistic events, classes, recitals and private events. We draw together theatre veterans coming to play that role of a lifetime, with apprentices curious to perform for the first time in their life. Fearless artists and shy apprentices will perform alongside each other to create great theatre, great community and great fun.
