Grant Writer Request #06142020E

Primary Purpose:
To receive funding for our new Nonprofit suffering from Covid-19. We take surrender horses from owners who cannot afford them.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
We take surrendered horses from owners who can not afford to keep them. We also foster horses for other nonprofits who do not have room at this time. We have therapeutic services for special needs riders as well as public lessons which help to pay for the surrender horses until they can be used in the other programs we offer. At this time all the programs we offer through the local Recreational departments are canceled due to the COVID-19 which leaves very little coming in to maintain the nonprofit.
The recreational programs are a big part of the activities we do and are important in introducing the urban kids to horses, barn chores, and just being out in the country for a day, week or season.
