Grant Writer Request #08132019B

Primary Purpose:
To secure funding for the children, youth, and families that I support I looking for grants to help the community. I need someone to help me find grants to fit the work I do.

I have been working with at-risk children and youth in the Bay Area for over 15 years and I have worked two and three jobs to pay for helping them and I need help with funding to continue helping and expanding help to families and I would like to be able to afford a place that I could do all that I do under one roof. All I want to do is make a different in children, youth and families lives.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
Our organization educates youth by providing preventive and intervention tools and principles through wraparound services, mentoring, leadership, academics and performing arts by reducing youth involvement with crime, sex, drugs, alcohol, truancy, and overall bad decision making.
Vision:
We were designed to provide a safe haven for youth to freely express their feelings and thoughts and concerns regarding themselves, home, school, and community.

In addition, my LLC is a one-stop resource for families who would benefit from one place to go, to get a multitude of family support. We offer a variety of different types of services that would meet the new movement towards “work-family balance” which is caused by the fast pace family pressures that have created a disruption in traditional family values.
We have researched the growing need to partner with programs like what we offer to support the new, heightened workload and worries about job security that can lead to stress and health problems with emotional “spill-over” to home.

Due to the high work demand families find themselves trying to balance it all without wanting to give up quality care and family values for their children. We help with this transition by being a safe family place they can turn to when they feel they need help while they are working, or when parents are practicing self-care so they can return to the family fully functioning. It is hard to find and retain enough employment to economically provide, as well as having time to properly care for the young and vulnerable members of the family group this is a key challenge for the present-day parent that they try to keep a “work-family balance” in many families.
In developing countries, there is a concern about jobs creating “a care deficit” for children where parents are less available to care for their very young children who may be left alone for many hours due to the absence of affordable daycare or alternative care.
Mission
We will help fill in for the lack of time families have to interconnect effectively. We are here to relieve some of those burdens and help the family stay educated, encouraged, engaged, and elevated. The Foundation is a safe place that serves children as young as age 5 to adulthood to receive the help that focuses on family values and dynamics by and through wraparound support counseling, life coaching, mediation, anger management, and parenting.
We also offer supervised visitation, kid exchange, and child pick up services so children can have safe conflict-free access to both parents. At our Foundation, no problem is irreparable we believe in taking care of the family unit offering a space that gives families, hope, affirmation, understanding, care, education, solutions, and support. We use a Solution Focus, Cognitive Behavioral, and Task-Oriented approach to create an action plan for every child and parent so that they can leave with hope, understanding, and a family approach to the Foundation.

Vision
Our vision is the family focus first because we want families to never feel that they must walk through a problem in life alone or feel that someone does not care to understand how and why they are feeling what they feel. We use an interactive holistic approach to address the root causes of the breakdown of emotional intelligence that impact the families' lives that caused them to feel fear, unsafe, misunderstood, and unprotected.

Goal
Our goal is to create a synergy between parents and their children where families learn how to control their emotional intelligence by using the new skills they learned at the Foundation to create a peaceful home, school, and work environment that helps the individual and family to be successful in today’s community.
Description of Foundation Services
We provide holistic services for families to address conflict, behavioral issues, parenting challenges, and a host of other issues that require specialized support.
