Grant Writer Request #09232020E

Primary Purpose:
We are seeking to expand our services into other states and are in need of funding.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
Our organization conducts peer-to-peer, veteran suicide interventions. When a veteran (or more frequently a family member or friend) reaches us through our hotline or online, we immediately dispatch a team of veterans (Responders) to the veteran in suicidal crisis. It costs around $750 to fully train and equip a new Responder. We are limited only by the number of Responders we are able to train and equip.
Project Description:
Provide your hourly rate for research and locating grants for: 10 hours per week for 52 weeks.   For a total of 520 hours.
I've really just guessed at the number of hours a week because I frankly have no idea. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you to determine a realistic expectation.
The Grant Writer should be ready to begin work on: Immediately
Organizational Status:
Our organization is a(n): 501c3
Our company is in existence for: 3 Year(s) 4 Months
Services:
We presently provide or will be providing services in the geographic areas of: Currently, Arkansas. We have plans to expand nationally and will begin our first expansion into neighboring states (Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana).
We are a groundbreaking organization focused on direct veteran suicide intervention. Our teams are on standby twenty-four hours a day to respond in person to Arkansas veterans in suicidal crisis to provide peer support and get them to the help they need.

Nationwide, 22 veterans lose their lives to suicide every day. We hope to change that statistic to zero through peer mentorship between veterans. Our Veteran Suicide Response teams are trained in ASIST, and SafeTalk, and also receive in-house training. When we are notified of a Veteran in Crisis in the state of Arkansas, our responders do the one thing that no one else does. We drop everything and actually go to that Veteran.
Current Revenue:
We've had some success with online donations. With COVID, this and merchandise sales are our exclusive sources of revenue.

We have not previously received grant funds.
We do not have a copy of our previously written grant application(s).
