Primary Purpose:
To apply for funding for our existing programs.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
Cornerstone provides shelter for homeless families and individuals in Chicago. Our programs are funded in part by the City of Chicago, and we need to raise funds to match those grants. Our annual matching need is approximately $500,000.00.
Project Description:
Provide your hourly rate for research and locating grants for: 8 hours per week for 12 weeks.   For a total of 96 hours.
We have not had a grant writer on staff for a very long time, so answering this question is difficult.

We presently provide or will be providing services in the geographic areas of: Chicago, IL
Cornerstone provides Interim Shelter for homeless families and individuals in Chicago. When an individual stays at Cornerstone, they receive individualized case management, basic needs, and connection to a vast array of supportive services and clinical or mental health services as needed. Each night there are 330 people that stay at Cornerstone, ranging from single men or women to any type of familiy.
Current Revenue:
Cornerstone is funded in part by City funding, individual donations, and a small amount of grants.

Cornerstone has received many grants over the years, that it would be cumbersome to list them all. But an annual average would be approximately $80,000 in non-government grants.
