Grant Writer Request #12122019B

Primary Purpose:
We need to receive funding for our events. We are currently not doing well financially, even though we are growing larger and popular. Funding is needed for: event costs, renovations to our building, venue rental costs, and tour payments. We are a youth-amateur orchestra in IL, emerging as a well-known program in the Northwest Suburbs. Our mission is to provide students in the Northwest Suburbs a high-quality experience through enhanced teachings of orchestral music. Currently with more than 80 students and growing, we are in great need of support from outside organizations to continue the program, expanding further into the suburban community of the Chicagoland.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
Currently, we are in need of approximately $100,000 to cover our next tour to Europe. We are charging each student almost $4,000 but we really want to lower that cost, since it is too expensive for a youth orchestra. The total cost for the tour is $158,000. We are also performing in Chicago for the Chicago International Music Festival, and we are in need of $12,000, including our spring concert costs.
Project Description:
Provide your hourly rate for research and locating grants for: 8 hours per week for 52 weeks.   For a total of 416 hours.
However long is needed for a successful grant. We request that part of the grant received will be able to cover the majority of the pay for our grant writer.
Provide your hourly rate for writing curriculum for: 8 hours per week for 52 weeks.   For a total of 416 hours.
We want the grant writer to do most of the work. We will of course provide you with all of the necessary information and history of our orchestra.
The Grant Writer should be ready to begin work on: Immediately
Organizational Status:
Our organization is a(n): Non Profit, 501c3, Youth Orchestra
Our company is in existence for: 12 Year(s)
Services:
We presently provide or will be providing services in the geographic areas of: We mainly serve the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, but this is flexible and we can serve any part of Chicagoland as long as the student is able to adequately organize transportation to our weekly rehearsals.
As an orchestra, we offer orchestral training to beginners, intermediate and advanced students in the Northwest Suburbs. We have a lower level string orchestral for young students, a middle-level orchestra for intermediate-advanced students, and “Core” which is an ensemble for advanced students who are in the middle-level orchestra. We are also thinking about starting a small chamber music program.
Current Revenue:
We charge students in each orchestra tuition in order to fund for our events. Those funds are not enough for our events. We also receive funds from donors periodically.
