Primary Purpose:

We are a nonprofit organization based in Minnesota and work in Africa. We equip community hospitals in areas we work.

Programming and Dollar Needs:

We are seeking help for medical equipment and shipment expenses. We plan to equip 8 community hospitals in Ethiopia, with 2 containers each 16 containers total. The average cost of each container is $46,640.

Project Description:

Provide your hourly rate for research and locating grants for: 20 hours per week for 2 weeks. For a total of 40 hours.

Provide your hourly rate for crowdfunding mentoring for: 4 hours per week for 20 weeks. For a total of 80 hours.

Services:

We presently provide or will be providing services in the geographic areas of: Africa; Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya.

The Healthcare Extension, Promotion and Training Organization seeks to end recurring turmoil in East Africa through training, education and developing permanent infrastructure.

Our approach is three-fold. First, we seek to empower communities by joining government officials, community leaders, and residents to lay down modern, efficient infrastructure.

We enliven communities through hope for a brighter, more independent future.

Then we enrich these communities through education and expanded outreach, teaching them how to use and maintain their new assets themselves.

Grant History:

This will be our first time applying for grant funding.

We have not previously received grant funds.

We do not have a copy of our previously written grant application(s).

We do not have a fundraising packet.

We have an agency mission statement: We stand for promoting, enhancing, and uplifting the knowledge of healthcare workers and the general public in underdeveloped countries by providing core-training and essential education in healthcare.
