To craft grant applications for various grant opportunities in order to raise money for a multimedia art project that is fiscally sponsored and focused on providing young emerging artists an opportunity to have creative freedom within their chosen field. The project involves poetry, animation, dance, painting, and photography.
Programming and Dollar Needs:
I am hoping to work with someone in an ongoing capacity, but my initial funding needs are in the $25,000 range. There is no set timetable for this, as the project is generally funded through a combination of self-funding and charitable donations - but now that it has progressed for a few years, I believe there is enough evidence of the project's strengths and success to warrant a deeper push into fundraising, especially due to our status of being fiscally sponsored and thus able to seek grants just as an ordinary 501(c)(3) would.

I have always been planning to apply to grants and am constantly crafting the language necessary to properly frame my project and its needs to fit given grant-making organizations mission, but have always run into the issue of time-management that has rendered me unable to pull the trigger on putting my true best foot forward and applying to them! I am not ready to outsource that role as the project gains momentum and is constantly finding new artists to bring into the fol.
