We have an agency mission statement: The foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides active duty military, veterans, first responders, and their families with free flotation therapy across the United States at their local flotation centers. It was founded on the belief that flotation therapy is a natural holistic healing solution spanning hundreds of ailments across the entirety of the human spectrum. The foundation funds these floats through donations and grants from National Foundations, Philanthropies, other governmental and private organizations, and people who care. Singularly focused, the organization partners with float centers around the USA so that those who sacrifice and serve others, don’t have to pay for floatation therapy.
The group that NFIFA was designed to support are high risk for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), high stress and anxiety, depression, suicide, and addiction because of the nature of their service. Floating helps relieve all those conditions and more, because it optimizes humanity by synergizing the mind, body, and soul. The Veterans Administration (VA) and Medical System’s current pharmaceutical solutions have not worked effectively for this group.
Our mission is to provide hope and healing to this community that has been failed by the current VA and medical systems who refuse to recognize and pay for float therapy as a viable solution to all these conditions. Floating targets the root of problem vice just managing the symptoms. We seek to spread awareness to this community of the power of flotation therapy and end the excessive dependence on pharmaceuticals to treat these conditions.
