We presently provide or will be providing services in the geographic areas of:
San Francisco Bay Area
Current programming includes the teaching of traditional dance and folklore, Central American poetry, and professional dance showcases, all of which benefit our transnational humanitarian aide efforts - making our organization one of the most multidimensional and creative Central American nonprofit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Managing these unsettling times has been difficult, to say the least for all of us. For a decade we have relied on live performances as not only a form of showcasing our culture and traditions but also as a way to fundraise. 2020 has changed all that, but the needs in our community haven't changed, in fact now more than ever we need the arts, culture, and music to heal and mend our souls. We have found different mediums to keep doing what we have done for so many years.
This will be our first time applying for grant funding.
We have not previously received grant funds.
We do not have a copy of our previously written grant application(s).
We do not have a fundraising packet.
We have an agency mission statement: Our goal is to bring together Bay Area youth to form a support system for under-resourced youth who live in our community and children that live in extreme poverty in rural areas of Nicaragua by providing clothes, meals, toys, school supplies, and other necessities. We continue to do this through community outreach, organizing, and promoting Nicaraguan culture in and around the Bay Area.
